Well, it's been two years since I had a real full time job. This is how I have survived.
Unemployment benefits are only $275 a week. And if you have worked, you get recalculated the second year. I am now getting $100 a week since April.
1. Doing substitute teaching. Pay is only $9.58 an hour.
2. Food stamps. You get a debit card today, with the American Flag. Easy to use and quick.
3. Had a roommate.
4. So the house is hot. Keep it turned up to 82 in the day. Shut the vents in unused rooms.
5. Don't waste water. Like a bath? Use only two inches of water. It's still a bath.
If you've been unemployed for a long time, you know things are bad. At least I'm in Florida -far better than being in Flint, Michigan.

It's nice to read people who can have a sense of humor about them still. The "luxuries" are nill, and they take on a whole new meaning to significance.
There are many who still go about as if there were money growing on trees in their backyard. They show little to no setbacks in the economy. I wonder if "Denial" to them is really a river in Egypt.?!
I enjoyed reading your post on Indeed.com as well.
